Todai-ji Great Buddha Hall - Nara
We took a train to Nara and walked to the Temple we encountered thousands of deer roaming freely. The temple is magnificent and if not for the crowds you would have thought you had gone back in time. Beautiful lush landscapes and even on an overcast day it still seemed bright, it's quiet and very relaxing walk through the gardens and great hall. To enter the temple cost around 800Yen ($7 AUD) and you can queue up to buy your ticket and gain entry.
TIP: Train as transport (super easy), Hire traditional dress if you want go for the whole experience, Good walking shoes, Hat and of course Sunscreen in summer.
