Tirta Empul temple is a Hindu Balinese water temple located near the town of Tampaksiring, Bali, Indonesia. The temple compound consists of a petirtaan or bathing structure, famous for its holy spring water, where Balinese Hindus go to for a ritual purification called Melukat.
We stopped at this temple en-route to Cretya Day club, it was an interesting experience, we changed and and followed the crowd to the springs where we took part in the traditional purification and prayer ritual. It was great to feel apart of the Balinese culture a very sernene experience.
