Bali Zoo - Indonesia
Breakfast with orangutans and elephant mud bath was the tour we signed up for! We wandered into the zoo and meandered along the pathways checking out the Deer, Orangutans, elephants and birds of all colours, we arrived at the buffet in time for Breakfast with the Orangutans. The orangutans were funny to watch especially the baby.
Breakfast was great, fruit, eggs, fresh baked bread, coffee and heaps more, we devoured heaps of food, snapped heaps of pics and then moved along to the next part of the tour the Elephant mud bath.
Now this is interesting! A rather large group of people get ushered to a change room area, where we all get changed into your togs, then you put your gear into a locker, you then get ushered along to the elephant mud bath. NOW be warned this was quite rushed and I made huge mistakes(not knowing what the tour entailed),No shirt, no sunscreen, no shoes, no water! DOH!!! I was unable to get back to the lockers to get kit without leaving the tour permanently. Luckily we could buy beverages inside the enclosure and there was some shade in spots. This tour goes for around 2 hours and is in the blistering, sun so be prepared.
Definitely worth a visit and overall it was great fun we met some Aussies there from Queensland and had some great chats.
Costs around $150 including both experiences and breakfast.
TIP: Be ready if you do the mud bath, sunscreen, water, shoes would be ideal, hat, a Rashie or t-shirt. Bali Zoo
