Urayasushi Koen Parkrun is held every Saturday at 8am. The course is out and back with an extended loop back past the starting line. The course is mostly Flat with a slight hill when you turn back towards the finish line. The Volunteers and RD were so friendly and made us feel very welcome, lots of photos and they had cold water setup on a table for the runners. Great vibe with locals clapping and cheering us on.
We took the train to Shin-Urayasu station on the JR Keiyo line and walked the 2.5km to the start. We stayed at the Tokyo East Side Hotel Kaie which was opposite the train station and super handy.Â
TIP: In August it’s very hot so the walk from the station wasn’t the best option. Only toilet close to the start was a squat toilet, Convenience store for refreshments was open and was required.
Parkrun App checklist : Alphabeteer, Explorer, Jetsetter, Namely, Tourist, also Volunteer opportunities.
